EFT goal of the Week: Ivan Campo!
Bolton Wanderers midfielder, Ivan Campo, may have an unusual hairstyle and not the best conditioned physique but that should not obscure that he can play good football and strike a ball.... as this EFT goal of the week against Tottenham Hotspur on week one of the Premiership season proves.
And the pure happiness/shock on his face during his celebration makes for fantastic viewing too!

Thanks for that T! Not sure which team I like less...the Spuds or Dirty Sam's club? HA! Tongue in cheek...Robinson looked disgusted with himself...but truth be told..he was a bit blinded by a defender and it was a wicked swerve on the shot...nice one Campo!
Finally the season has started...and what an interesting day! Watford for unlucky to draw with Liverpool and Reading mounted a magnificent comeback to announce their arrival...very good stuff! And Sheffield united were unlucky by all accounts to lose. Not a single 0-0 draw apparently...so that's pretty interesting!!

Oh look elitefootball have done a piece regarding a Spurs game. Wonder why?
nturtle, why would you hate bolton? They're a great club and team who add a great deal of colour and texture to the premiership and employ a highly underrated manager. Shame on you for your overt snobbery. And no, you're not allowed an oppinion.

Hi EL, it looks like you have put two and two together and found five! This is a great goal against any team... although I can understand why you could feel there is a 'dark side' about this post!!
When Tottenham score a goal of the week you can be sure it will be featured in our new 'goal of the week' feature.
I hope you are being tongue in cheek re your comments to Nturtle?
Nturtle, definitely an interesting opening weekend. I think that Redsman will be posting a review shortly so I'll reserve my comments till then.

Nice goal guys. Bit of an awkward swing towards the end...
Cheers

Campo's goal was not Goal of The Week for myself, I felt Arsenal's by Silva was sharp, Chelsea's Drogba finished off acutely from great work by Robben and Bridge, and Man Utd's Ronaldo and Rooney's 2nd were good, particularly after Rooney 2nd's was equal to Chelsea's 3rd, with Ronaldo and Brown combining.

Mmmm....thanks for your comments El...not quite sure you really read what I wrote...the purpose of this site/blog/group of writers and commentary is to help each other appreciate all aspects of football...rather than slag of each other or the teams we support. Certainly as an Arsenal fan it's understandable that I'm not exactly the biggest fan of Bolton or Tottenham...but it was never an "attack" by saying "which team I like less"? I'll just take it that you might have rushed your comments a bit...
As for goal of the week...I didn't manage to see all the goals, but that Drogba one does sound good Redsman! He sure is fighting for his place alongside Shevchenko!

Yes, it was a neat finish by Chelsea to the game, although Shev did score but was offside. For me, the onus is to get a winning run going so that if you manage to slip, you are aware of the standard required to get back on track. Seems that Man Utd and Chelsea, as two of the main contenders, have done just that, set a standard that they know they have to keep to to contend. I have to say that Fulham and Man City were at the same time so defensively unstable.

Err...fellas, do I really have to spell it out when I'm kidding? Look at my last sentence. That was irony not fascism. I am however, a big fan of bolton & allardyce (except this week).
Love & peace to all at elitefootball,

Ditto Redsman, EL...
And good goal from Berbatov last night (although not sufficently in the 'Campo league' to be featured on EFT!). I rated this signing on EFT as soon as it was announced, and I'm now starting to think that he can be your Van Nistelrooy.

Heh...obviously I'm not reading between the lines enough then El! No worries...looking forward to more opinions all over...
Berbatov is surely the best signing so far for Tottenham...although in Zokora...they've also got a good mid-fielder....I think Spurs will do really well despite their start against Bolton.
